I’m off to Germany next week to improve my German and give myself a culture shock – I am ashamed to say it but even though I’ve studied German in school and college, listened to their DJs in clubs and enjoyed their mulled wine over many a Christmas, I’ve never been! I really am looking forward to the opportunity to pick up some language skills and immerse myself in German life! Thing is, I can learn all the grammar from home but actually getting the fluency and confidence to speak is another story! Hopefully this will all change once I’ve been on my course! I have chosen a course in the capital – people have told me great things about the wall, the atmosphere…I’m very excited for my
German course Berlin! I have been assured there’s plenty to do there so I’ll always be busy – a good thing because being busy means I’ll be practising the language too! I plan to
teach English to the German people as a way of meeting people – any more tips for the language travel would be very much appreciated!
