How can one beat all those odds and finally graduate? So, success in college is dependant on lots of specific ideologies, the majority of which have nothing to do with the way you got to this college.

I'll be honest whoever wrote that gave pretty generic tips and no real explanation on how to "achieve college success."

Quote
1. Study Habits are important for College Success.

2. Friends are important for College Success.

3. Pressure Management determines your College Success.

4. Your Time Management is important in College Success.

5. Individual Choice determines your College Success.

Thus, where do you start here?

1. You master your study habits.

2. You select good friends.

3. You cope with your College Stress.

4. You try to manage your Time fine.

5. You make excellent personal choices

So I'm almost done college and I've tried many things. The easiest thing to do would be to avoid the parties and study hard. But if you care about a social life that's not going to work out. Many people, like myself, had to have a job on the side to help pay for college. Jobs interfere with studying and your work suffers. When I really need help I seem not to be able to find it at 11:30PM after I get out of work. I've tried moving classes later (when I can) to study and it doesn't work. My biggest problem was writing essays. I was able to goto my writing center for help one time and the girl told me that some people were using an online site called uProdigy (link removed). I don't know much about these online sites but I gave it a shot. I went on there and discovered they not only help you with essays but with other subjects as well 24/7. I've been using it for a little while and it's helped a lot. I just need all the help I can get, whenever I need it, to get through this semester. I've transfered and dropped out of classes. It's been almost six years and my bachelor's program is only suppose to take four so I'm glad that things are starting to look like they're ending soon.

Online tutoring helped in my situation but if you have more time, you could probably benefit from your college's tutoring center. (Most colleges have one.) And if people shy or whatever search for online tutoring or use uProdigy like I did. Take whatever you can get and get it done you know.

Finding a place that you can study at is important too. I have been trying to study at home and it never works, so I have to drive 45 minutes to our school's library.

What about a public library closer to home?  I've actually gone to Starbucks on occasion (as long as it isn't too crowded) as well to get some studying done.

I personally don't like the library because it's too quite for me. I don't mind background chatter to much and I like being able to talk to my friends if I have a question.
