I'm just asking this because well, after a few close calls in my new dorm room, and a few things about the history of the building, I'm convinced its haunted. I don't know what to do. What should I do?

Well I don't know much, but I do watch a lot of those ghost hunting shows, so I'll just pass along my knowledge from what I've seen.


1)  Try doing an EVP.  EVP stands for Electronic Voice Phenomena.  Basically what do you do is a get a voice recorder and sit in the room you think is haunted and ask questions to the spirit/entity/ghost/whatever.  The theory is the recorder will pick up voices you can't hear.  More info here: http://www.ghostpix.com/gis/E.V.P.html

2)  On those shows a lot of time they get a physic or medium to come in and try to pick up on energy and find out whats going on.  You could also try seeing if there is any kind of ghost hunter society in your town.  They may also be able to shed some light on your situation.

3)  Have a priest come in and bless the room.  (I assume you would need to have him do it, or at least show you the proper way of doing it).

4)  Call ghostbusters?   

I've also heard that taking pictures can sometimes pick things up.  So try taking a few pictures and see if you notice anything.  If you do, also post them here.

are you anywhere near Cheesman park? it sounds like that was not a good scene, putting a park on top of thousands of graves.
From what I could find of the Regency it is a dated hotel, Elvis stayed there. Skinhead graffiti? Altogether a rather unpleasant sounding place. Are the elevators funny? do they stop on floors that are empty?

Well what I managed to get out of the residents in the area, was that someone hung themselves in the stairwell right near the room. There is a seam on the ceiling that does let in cold air, but there is still a creepy feeling as you cross the hall. A couple of people have said it is better to take the elevators than actually using the stairs from the fifth floor (where I am) to the first floor.

I would make sure that what you are hearing from the other residents is actually fact and not rumor.

Perhaps try searching the newspaper archives of your local library to find out a bit more about the history.

Also, do you have any pics of hallways, stairways, and/or graffiti?
