One question, what was the clap for at 1:48?

the claps at 1:48 and 2:35 are because we just finished our solo's.  In jazz, you play the song as written...then you improvise your own solo over the form of the song (not easy to do, I'm just getting better now).  Then we trade solos every four bars instead of through the whole form (still improvised) after that second clapping until about 3:23 where we break back into the "head" ( the written part of the song).

Nice job. I usually thought that Jazz has some kind of brass instrument like a trumpet or saxophone?

no, I started out like most, learning rock songs and playing around with friends.  Jazz is what you learn in school if you're not learning classical guitar.  But I still listen to and play different things like rock, funk, bossa nova, and etc..

Well yes, usually you would hear brass in a jazz ensemble, but you don't need a horn to play Jazz.  Jazz isn't defined by the instrument you use.  Jazz is played on instruments from brass, woodwinds, guitar, bass, drums, etc...  You can really play Jazz on any instrument.  It just has to swing and there has to be improvisation (that's a very general classification, there is a lot more to it).

Thanks for the explanation. Just one more question, from the video it was hard to see what instrument you were playing, was that a guitar or a bass? Also I just embedded the video so it would be easier to view, hope you don't mind.

Thanks for embedding it, and no, I'm playing a hollow body electric guitar.  You can tell the difference between the guitars cause mine is an amped electric and Ian's (the other guitar player) is an acoustic with no amp.  He's playing the chords, and I'm playing the lead melody.  I take the first solo, as you can hear the hollow body electric sound...but you can also see that Ian is still playing the rhythm/chords.  Then he takes the second solo while I play the chords for him.  After that, we trade shorter solo's back and forth with no rhythm guitar.  Then we do that little stop, and back into the head.
