I'm surprised Golf & Sports Turf Management is on that list. I know of one person that's actually going to school for this and doesn't seem that uncommon. Astrobiology is an intersting one, considering I don't know of any organisms in space I'm not sure how much practical application something like this would have.

I'd go for the Comedy one if I wasn't already involved in another major.

Yea, golf and sports turf management isn't that unusual really.  A lot of people do it, and make damn good money.

Actually I have seen weirder ones, some people didn't believe me when I said I was doing Asian Studies as a Bachelors and Japanese Arts and Letters as a Masters. Those degrees do exist, even though they are extremely rare and only a few colleges have such degree programs.

Though Fishing Sciences and Management is something I have seen in CO, it is used by National Forest people to help control fishing and how to control over population of certain kinds of fish. I have a friend who works as that kind of professional for the Forestry services back in the Rocky Mountain National Park.

If you're talking about the Fishing Sciences and Management, nowadays it is important to make sure that certain populations are being protected. Nowadays since so many people are going to college you need to get more specific degrees so that you know that you are hiring the right kind of people.

So true, degrees are getting a little more specialized then they were during the times some of our parents went to college. My mother went to college for accounting, now she's regretting and has to take on secretarial work.

Yea I'm starting to get the feeling that it's heading in the direction where what used to be a high school diploma back in the day is now a college degree and what used to be a college degree is now a masters.
