Having a problem with academics, should I transfer back to my old school?

I just transferred to Northeastern University from a technical school. And the problem is that I'm doing awful at NEU (I'm taking 4 courses: one course I have to put as Pass/Fail (not even sure if I'm going to pass it), and another course I might fail in, the remaining two courses I'm doing fine I guess). You see this is my first semester as a freshman (they didn't accept my credits) and I know I will have a horrible GPA and will be a horrible time to try and get it back up with such a bad start. The thing is that NEU is a well known school although I have to pay $7,000 more a year. However if I do really bad I will lose my financial aid. This just occurred to me if I should transfer back to the technical school (I was doing good there, I have 3.0 GPA with good financial aid). However the technical school is not as popular or well known like NEU. What should I do??

I'm not sure the technical school you are referring to, but is there a reason why you are doing so much worse at NEU? If it's the concepts they are teaching, then you should try harder to understand and go for extra help. Let the teacher know you are trying, but just having difficulty.
If its just that the classes are too big, and you don't have the right learning style for that environment then I would transfer back.
If you have the ability to do well at NEU make sure you exhaust every opportunity to do so. However, if you can't then it looks better to do well at an unrecognized school then to do poorly at a well known school.
