I really liked that video and it makes some good points about the educational system in general. Now with so many people being able to get into college you also have many people getting degrees in things like English literature or History and so you end up with a huge influx of people who spent thousands of dollars trying to get their Ph.D. and now aren't even able to get a job because the only really job that you can get with a degree like that is to become a college professor. Since so many professors are worried about losing their jobs and a lot of their performace gets evaluated by student reviews professors make the classes easier. I feel like it's getting to the point where as long as you show up and pay you can get a degree in something. I've had classes where the average grade for an exam is less than 20%. That means that in order to get a C in the class you have to know less than 1/5 of the information. With there being such a great parity between students when they graduate, and technology advancing as fast as it is, most corporations are required to train all of their new employees anyway. So what's the real reason that you went to school? So that you can get hired and then be taught what you actually need to know.

I agree 100%  Its almost as if college is now just a formality that you need to go through.
