Moving in together bad idea before marriage?

I've never had any first hand experience with this kind of thing, but I have seen it ruin, or atleast almost ruin relationships before. I honestly think until you are ready for marriage, that moving in together (especially for a long period of time) is not such a great idea.

I agree completely. The only time I think moving in together would be good, is if you see marriage as something coming in the near future. Then its probably a good "dry run" to see if you like living with that person, prior to getting engaged/married.

I feel that you should only move in with someone if you truly believe that you are going to get married. At the same time moving in together after you get married could be a bad either as well because otherwise you might not learn what your partner's bad habits are.

i moved in with my girlfriend and its awesome. I think you have to be young with an open mind to make it work. I'm only 13 years of age and I have no regrets. I get straight A's cause i get to grade my own tests when she comes home from work.

You need to know how to live apart from each other as well because there's going to come some point in your life when you are separated from your partner

In my opinion this is ok as long you'll take responsibility whatever happens in the relationship.

Good points by everyone, but you never know who someone is until you live with them
People change behind closed doors
I think maybe a trial period could be good for a relationship
