I've been noticing that QB's helmets in the NFL have a bright green, circular sticker on the backs of their helmets.  Does anyone know what this means?  Any guesses?  Does it mean anything?

I think it indicates that the player has a microphone in their helmet to communicate with the coaches.  I think each team is only allowed to have 1 player with a mic.

Yea I noticed that but I never even gave it a second thought until you mentioned it. QBs have been using mics for years so I'm not sure that they would change that now. My friend how's a Patriots fan told me that they're being accused of Mic'ing up their defensive line so that they could steal the audible signals, haven't heard this from anyone else though, but that might by why they added this green sticker rule

Fox Sports reported that former NFL players believe Belichick had microphones installed in the shoulder pads of defensive linemen so the Patriots could tape other teams' offensive audibles and line calls.

I remember awhile ago there was a certain baseball team who would use the jumbotron in their stadium to steal the calls from the catcher.  They also got caught, and their jumbotron got shut down.  Can't remember who it was though.
