It's so strange the hype this movie is getting, and it's such a mystery. My mother is actually flying back today from New York after working on this movie and even she has no clue what the movie's really about. It's kind of creepy.

I guess this movie really is a secret! I know they first released this trailer at the advanced screenings of Transformers. People who were in the theatre with video cameras recorded it and posted it on youtube. Supposedly Paramount had youtube remove all the clips, but soon after launched it on Apple's website. Without giving away too much, whats your guess as to what this movie is about?

It is a secret...my mom told me how she had to turn in all her pictures she had taken on set. She had to turn in the script. All kinds of other things I expect. I'm just as clueless about this movie as the rest of you guys. All I know is that the cast and crew calls the creature(s) the parasite. Supposedly someone was fired because they were showing pictures. They say it's an original movie and not knock off of a previous movie. I wasn't interested in the movie until I saw the topic here. I'm sure I could knock a few more facts from my mom. I think it's kind of creepy though that it's such a secret. Reminds me of a cover up or something. Anyways that's all I know. Follow up question, what are you guys doing to sell your site? Hopefully with the new semester coming up soon things will finally pick up. I've been hesitant to post earlier because there's not many of you guys out there.

Then my guess of it being Godzilla must be wrong. I'm actually happy about the fact that its an original concept. It adds to the mystery surrounding this project.
As for promotion of the site we have mainly been using facebook and myspace. Its a bit of a catch22 because we need users to start topics, but without the users, there are no topics, and thus a dull website. As you stated, we're banking on the fact that traffic will pick up once the semester starts. We also have plans to run a few contests and giveaways to get the ball rolling. We toyed with the idea of advertising on other sites, but Chris and I both agreed that if we were going to spend money, we'd rather give it to our users, instead of putting it in the pocket of another website.
We're also open to any suggestions you may have. We want to make this place useful, informative, and entertaining, and we need everyone's help to make it possible!

yea I remember watching transformers and seeing the preview for this. You always have to be careful with this type of advertising though because if the movie sucks it just makes this kind of advertising even worse. If it's a good movie though everyone looks like a genius.

I agree, plus thats too vague. However, if the movie ends up being one of the best movies of the year, the name may not really matter.

Thanks for taking the time to post those up!
It looks as though the set where they were filming was some kind of hotel lobby.
I remeber before you mentioned that your mom had to turn in the photos and script, so how was she allowed to take a video? Did she have to turn it in and let them review it?

I had no clue she had posted this online...don't think anyone reviewed it. She must have done it behind their backs...
